Title 9 Inch Doll, 1920's
Object Name Doll
Scope & Content A 9 inch doll with a bisque socket head, jointed wood and composition body. The back of the head is marked " A W Germany 347/O K. This is the mark of Adolf Wislizenus, Walterhausen, Thuringa, Germany. The bisque head is a mold by Armand Marseille, # 347. This doll was manufactured in the 1920's and purchased at Allans Department store in Fernandina, around 1930. The clothing is hand made by Mary Ellen Davis.
