Scope & Content A Floridian remembers WWII was written by Florence R. Partin ("Noonie") for Gary Marmino. Mormino was a Professor History who was preparing a book, Floridians Remember World War II. The book was a project of the Florida Humanities Council. Contributors were asked to use a prepared list of questions and write of their experiences. Partin was in the 38th grade at the time of Pearl Harbor. She recounts life on the Home Front, race relations, D-Day. She was at the Casino when she heard the news of Pearl Harbor. By V-J Day she was traveling to Guam in the Navy.
