Scope & Content Plat and description of the claim of Benjamin Chairs for 300 acres.
This claim is designated in Report 1 as Claim 74 (See State Papers Vol.4, pages 377 and 382) and was confirmed to the claimants by Register and Receiver of East Florida in their final Report of the 20th January 1829, acting as Commissioners under the 4th Section of the Act of Congress the 8th of February 1827, entitled "An Act for to provide for the confirmation and settlement of private land claims in East Florida, and for other purposes." (See Statues at Large, Vol. 4, page 202)
Said claim was also confirmed by the Act of Congress of the 26th of April, 1830, entitled "An Act to provide for the final settlement of land claims in Florida." (See Statutes at Large, Vol 4, page 05.)
