Article was a Special to the News Leader by Berlinda Bruce.
An estimated 500 former students traveled to Fernandina Beach from throughout the country last weekend to attend the Peck High School Grand Reunion. The reunion was designed as a fund-raiser for the school's restoration. The Peck High School was founded in 1880 as an all-black school; it was closed in 1968 following federal desegregation guidelines.
The former students visited American Beach (Evans Rendezvous).
