An act to incorporate the City of Fernandina
Sec. 1: describes boundaries of City of Fernandina
Sec. 2: Mayor and five aldermen to compose City Council.
Sec. 3: Mayor may act as justice of peace.
Sec. 4: City Council to regulate harbor, licenses, storing of gunpowder, and establish Public Schools.
Sec. 5: City Council may levy taxes.
Sec. 6: City Council shall require attendance of its members.
Sec. 7: City Council may elect officers.
Sec. 8: City Council must keep records of proceedings, ordinances, rules and regulations.
Sec. 9: City Council must have public meetings.
Sec. 10: Four members may form quorum.
Sec. 11: Treasurer must provide quarterly reports.
Sec. 12: Mayor may propose ordinances for the welfare of the Corporation.
Sec 13: Mayor must take and administer oath with five days after election.
Sec. 14: Treasurer must keep accurate records.
Sec. 15: Elections to be held first Monday in April.
Sec. 16: Inspectors must record voters and votes.
Sec. 17: Inspectors of election must give public notice of election by posting at the Market.
Sec. 18: Another election must be held if Mayor elect unable to perform duties.
Sec. 19: Charles Seton, Domingo Acosta and Francisco Ponce appointed inspectors for election of Mayor and Aldermen.
