Photo shows Eric O'Steen and Davis. Davis piloted a Nationalist Chinese ship called Union Freedom and owned by China Union Lines on this trip.
Davis piloted some 140 ships in and out of Fernandina and Kings Bay each year.
Port of Fernandina shipped mostly chemical cellulose or raw pulp for manufacturing cardboard containers. Kings Bay shipped only dynamite.
