11. p. 45. Includes Chapter 175.--[No. 40]. An Act to exempt the inhabitants of Amelia Island, in the County of Nassau, from working on the roads on the main land in said County. Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Florida in General Assembly convened. That the inhabitants of Amelia Island, liable to work on the roads, are hereby exempted from working upon the roads on the main land for the term of three years from and after the passage of this act. Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That all laws conflicting with this act be, and the same are hereby repealed. [Passed the Senate, December 28, 1847. Passed the House of Representatives, January 4, 1848. Approved by the Governor, January 6, 1848.]
