Photo 3 - Photo taken aboard the IJSS Cabot, CV1-28, aircraft carrier Oct 1945 location: Pacific Ocean near Okinawa Island. Japan. Herman Albertine, Electronic technicians Mate First Class, now resident of Amelia Island Plantation, is at left end of second row. The USS Cabot, a highly decorated carrier, was in most major Pacific battles. At time of this picture we were returning from patrol in the Yellow Sea between China and Korea. Our task had been to show our aircraft over China as a demonstration of our control of the air. Our flight crews flew F6F Hellcats.

Photo 5 - This is too close for comfort. A "Judy" subsequently splashed by Cap. dropped a 500 pounder near stern of Cabot on March 29th 1945.
Photo 6 - Scoreboard of Cabot and her air groups as she wound up her was cruise and headed home. Each Jap Flag represents a plane shot down. Each bomb, s bombing mission and each torpedo a torpedo mission. Ships broken in half represent sunken ships, smoke puffs represent bomb hits 1945.
