Florida House. Mrs. A. Leddy, Proprietress, Third Street.---This hotel, the most accessible in the city, has been under its present proprietorship over 15 years. Every part of the house is appropriately and well furnished and is kept exceedinglly neat, clean, and orderly. Without seeming to be watched or patronized, guests are look after with kindness and attention, and as far as possible every want is anticipated. There is not a more cosey, home-like place for the weary and hungry in all Florida than this modest, airy, pleasantly located hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Leddy came here from New York in 1860 and purchased this property. Since the decease of her husband 11 years since, Mrs. Leddy has owned and managed it. She has also enlarged the house and increased the value of the property. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Higgins, the latter a sister of Mr. Leddy, remain with her permanently, and very ably assist her in carrying on the business.
