A letter from H. Taylor to Lewis G. Thompson. MATERIAL OFFICE OF SUPERVISING ARCHITECT in replying quote upper initial. Right hand corner. TREASURY DEPARTMENT, Washington, Oct. 22, 1907. Mr. Lewis G. Thompson, P.O Box 156, Fernandina, Florida. Sir: This office is in receipt of your communication of Oct. 19th relative to the use of material manufactured by you in connection with buildings under the control of this Office, and you are advise that the rules of the Department prohibit the specifying of any particular material to the exclusion of others of similar nature, but should such material to submitted for approval by parties having contracts for work in connection with such buildings, it will receive consideration.
