Translation In virtue of the commission which has been conferred upon me by Senor Don Enrique White political & military Governor of this Province on the 7th of October 1803. I certify that I have measured and laid off for Don James Cashen, a piece of land which contains two hundred acres of land situated on Amelia Island bounded in the North and East with lands of Mr. Gordine on the West and South with vacant lands, the figure and descriptions are those which the foregoing plat designates and for the proof of it, I sign this in Amelia Island 30th November 1807. John Purcell) (Here follows the Plat) Don Jorge Clarke, Lieutenant of the Militia of St. Augustine Florida, and surveyor general appointed by the Government of the said City and province. I certify that at the request of Don James Cashen I have examined the foregoing plat and from that it contains Two hundred and fifty acres of land not two hundred as is expressed by mistake above and in proof thereof I sign these presents in Fernandina the 2nd Feburary 1816--Jorge I. F. Clarke. I certify the foregoing to be a true and correct translation from a document in the Spanish language. Thos. Murphy Addl. Clk. B. L. C.
