Newsletter announcing a new program for the month of April titled "An Introduction to The Cummer" with the speaker listed as Hope McMath and the location as the Amelia Island Museum of History. 2. Minutes of board meeting held 7 June 2016. Current membership: 80 by email; 20 by mail. Chris Belcher provided information on proposed trolley field trip to Amelia Island Lighthouse. Tom Raymond reported on historical marker needs. Gray Edenfield will speak on shrimping industry at the upcoming meeting. 3. Minutes of board meeting held 12 September 2016. Cal Stephens reported account balance of $10,164. Membership is 122. Lighthouse Tour will be November 9. Proposed slate for 2017 was presented. Other program suggestions were made.Board approved donation of $250 to 8 Flags Playscape for a memorial oak tree in honor Mary Agnes White. Catherine Turner to speak at St. Michael's Parish Hall at October meeting. Dues raised to $10/year. Catherine Turner to speak at St. Michael's Parish Hall for October meeting. 4. Minutes for board meeting held 5 December 2016. Anita Oliver thanked for organizing successful Lighthouse tour. Backup plans proposed for January meeting and other programs. Schedule for upcoming board and general meetings presented. Election of 2017 board members discussed. Janet and Bob Loveless will not continue; other members proposed for various offices. Requests relevant to historical marker of Fernandina Post Office and Fairbanks house. |
