The Top page has a story titled "First Meeting Held Friday" It is about President Wilson making the call for the first meeting of the League of Nations. The first meeting of the council will be held in Paris in the morning of Friday, January 16, 1920. (page 1) A report coming from Paris says "Germany must pay her debts to the Allies. Commission on reparation must fix the amount due to Germany before May 1st, 1921. Until the amount is fixed, Germany must deposit twenty billion marks of gold or its equivalent in materials, ships, securities and coal." (page 1) There is a story on the Hungarian peace treaty (page 1) In the article titled "Sultan will have only One Spouse" It covers a general idea of the world pol in Europe with Turkey, Great Britain, France, and Russia of the day. One thing mentioned in the article is "These powers (England and France) wished to maintain relations with Russians who, without our seeking it, were hostile to us, and finally the Russian influence became so strong that every that every person favorable to Turks in the French and English embassies was drawn home by their own governments." (Page 1) There is a story about Japan deciding to "withdraw her warships from Fuchow, China" after they were sent there due to "maltreatment of Japanese subjects" that was "received by the Japanese delegation to the peace conference." (page 1) In the article titled "Annual Meeting Board of Trade" the 3rd paragraph gives hints of how Ocala was doing in a post Great War or World War I state. It mentions that the Board of Trade has been inadequately financed, yet with inadequate funds good results have been obtained. When the organization began in 1919 the World War had ended. The city and county were affected seriously from the war. An atmosphere of depression has been followed by activity and regaining confidence. Spring of 1919 there were many vacant homes, by now as of writing of the article not much is vacant on homes. In an article titled "Keen Competition in commercial aviation" it covers how their is a rivalry between air plane manufactures from the United States, France, Great Britain, and Italy for the opportunity to develop commercial aviation in Brazil. This is a rivalry to get the government of Brazil to promit aerial freight and passenger airlines. It says that that the Handley-Page company from Great Britain obtained a government concession to establish an air line for passengers and cargo between major cities. £2,000,000.00 has been set aside to develop air routes from Pernambuco to Buenos with 8 points on the way. The British companies proposed to operate the air lines until Brazilian companies are organized to take over the business and purchase the aircraft. (page 1) In the article titled "Smallest Component of matter" It talks about electrons as "the smallest component of matter. It says they are too tiny to be seen on a microscope. In the article it mentions "that 125,000,000,000 electrons could be crowded into a cubic centimeter." (Page 1) In the section titled Advertising rates it provides 2 paragraph description of what the newspaper advertising rates are based on what you want to pay for. (Page 2) Railroad Schedule times for Ocala Union Station in Florida. These include the Seaboard Air line and the Atlantic Coast Line. (page 3) There is a piece of propaganda art relating to The Great War or World War I titled "Not the Shadow of Doubt" It shows three documents with the writing "United States Government War Savings Certificate" then being covered up by the shadow of Uncle Sam. (Bottom left corner of the back page 4) For Advertisements included in this newspaper include the following Kodiak and Gerig's Drug store in Ocala, Florida.
