Members of the Nassau County Community Development Corporation (NCCDC) opened an office in Peck High School, the formerly black high school. The NCCDC is working to restore the old high school complex which had been closed in 1968 following desegragation. They want the complex converted to municipal offices and community but did not want to pay $357,000 as asked by Nassau County School Superintendent Craig Marsh. They are seeking grant funds to continue their work. |
