A letter from Ned E. Farrell, Chief Engineer and Superintendent of the Santa Fe Canal Company (Waldo, FL) to Charles W. Lewis (Fernandina, FL). The letter is written on letterhead of the Santa Fe Canal Company. "Chas. W. Lewis Esq. Fernandina Fla. Dear Sir, There seems to be two parties wanting the Lots in Block 3. Waldo -- 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 McDermit [sp.?] 6 - 7 -8 - Mr. P.[?] Hattan [sp.?]. If you can state a price that will hold them there is a good chance to realize cash -- I would much like to get these matters in some definite shape yet while we loose settlers by not being able to give titles to lots [.] I presume we get abase [?] enough to advertize [?] Waldo, anyway and __?____ Yours truly, Ned E.
