A letter from Ned E. Farrell, Chief Engineer and Superintendent of the Santa Fe Canal Company (Waldo, FL) to Charles W. Lewis (Fernandina, FL). The letter is written on letterhead of the Santa Fe Canal Company. The accompanying envelope is present also. "Chas. W. Lewis Esq. Fernandina Fla. I am informed by Edw. G. Hopkins (See your letter March 31st 1880) that he wishes to withdraw application for land described in Sec. 15 - S. 8. _[?] R 21 - E. I have no understanding as to the present state of the matter of titles, but if there is no objection on your part you can cancel the application and I will return his money. Respectfully, Ned E.
