Mark Shotwell Mark was born in Kokomo, Indiana, and enlisted in the Army in 1975. He initially wanted to be a Marine but ended up in the Infantry. His basic training at Fort Jackson was challenging, but he found structure beneficial. Despite a fractured ankle, he completed infantry training at Fort Polk and later switched to Military Police (MP) duty. He served in various duty stations, including Hawaii and California, before leaving the service in 1981. His military experience shaped his career in law enforcement and instilled values of integrity, respect, and honor. |
