May 28th 1897 Darling Baby, Mama was surprized to learn that you had the measles again but you know you are like Scott and he had them three times. I hope you wil be well before you get this letter. John has gone around to the Yergers to a church entertainment that they are getting up to-day for the church organ. They have a new one just came. Kashis is growing so fact. I know he will be glad when you get back, he looks like he wanted some one to play with him badly. The baby is growing too. He keeps busy eating and sleeping and gaping and stretching all the time. I took him over to see Mrs. Bossinger this morning and he looked as pretty as a peach. Miss Fannie Maxwell was in Tallahassee and she said she looked for you every time she went towards the Capitol but did not manage to see you. I think you are such a little politician that you must be sick because Col. Chipley was not elected Senator. Have not seen much of Reiman. I think he is still working on his bicycle. Mama hopes her dear baby is well by now but I know Cousin Ruby is taking good care of you and you will soon be well. All send love to all and a kiss to Lewis. Devotedly Mama Mr. Lewis G.
