Saint Joseph Nuns - Photograph, Black-and-White
Graves of the Sisters of Saint Joseph in Bosque Bello Cemetery adjoining Old Town. The nuns were much beloved by the community for their devoted nursing services during a Yellow Fever epidemic. They also formed the cultural center of the town, maintaining a convent school for Catholic and non-Catholic children and giving lessons in music and fine needlework. Sisters of Saint Joseph (Nuns) - Photograph, Black-and-White
Another view of the graves of the Sisters of Saint Joseph in Bosque Bello Cemetery adjoining Old Town. The nuns were originally buried in Villalonga Park between the Convent and St. Michael's Church. According to local lore, when the nuns were exhumed for re-burial in Bosque Bello, the workman smelled "the fragrance of roses." From a photo album with various groups of pictures and negatives. St. Joseph's Academy organ - Organ, Reed
This organ was built for the sisters of St. Joseph's Academy for their Chapel. In 2010, St. Michael's Academy renovated the Chapel for a different use and donated the organ to the Museum.
