This aerial photo of the Port of Fernandina was presented to Gene Lasserre at the conclusion of his long service on the Ocean Highway & Port Authority. The last nine years he served as Commissioner of the OHPA. The photo provides an excellent overview of the port facility at time. There is a plaque on the bottom reading: "Ocean Highway and Port Authority. COMMISSIONER E.E. "GENE" LASSERRE. 1953-1990. |
