The second daughter born to the Tracy family, Ada Byron would act as caretaker of both her parents and younger sister Frederika, while also managing business affairs of the family and the farm. (See "The Tracy Heritage" book). Named for a famous English poet whose only daughter was named so. (See "The Tracy Heritage" book) Erasmus would make Ada the sole beneficiary of his will, and left everything- including their home in Traders Hill- to her. Ada would give birth to her only son, Porte Creyon Tracy, at the age of 21. |
