Captain David Elwell Maxwell (1843-1908). Married Sarah Elizabeth Maxwell (1843-1925) in 1867 (his third cousin). He was one of the owners of early railroad and later supervisor of Florida Central and Peninsular Railroad then Seaboard Air Line Railroad in Jacksonville. Believed to have moved to Jacksonville in 1898. In 1897 their son, Wallace L. Maxwell, drowned on the south end of Amelia Island while home from Penn medical school. They had...
